Our goal at Science Education Academy (SEA) is to get elementary students excited about science with exposure to hands-on activities teaching real scientific methods and inquiry. We work with volunteer students from local universities, and local scientists to provide high quality programming to Philadelphia and Montgomery County Maryland.
SEA was founded to help supplement the public school science curriculum as a way to address scientific gaps in 2nd through 5th graders.
We provide programs in the Philadelphia and Washington DC/Maryland areas for community organizations, school programs, and libraries.
Interested in volunteering with our weekly program or joining our organizing committee? We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals.
SEA Accepts Donations! We are a 501c3 non-profit and can provide receipts for your tax deductible donation inlcuding of number of items.
SEA offers weekly Saturday lessons which are split into three academic units.
